So soon this family of two will become a family of three. I can’t help but think back to my pregnancy days and how it felt just before we became a family of three. There is truly nothing to prepare you for the moment you become a parent. Books, the internet, friends, family, and gadgets can help make things easier for the day to day tasks of raising a baby. But the being a parent part…that is different. That’s something so special and so unique for each person. So I celebrate with them and try my best to capture the absolute joy they feel. So they and their sweet baby will always remember how much love this family had before they even met their third member. How much they love one another and how much they love her is something that is perfect and like nothing else. I loved watching them interact.
There was no need for me to direct in the slightest. They were so loving with each other and just had a good time together. THAT’S it. That’s what everyone should do all the time, even when someone has a big camera all up in your personal space. Just ignore me and enjoy each other. Well, except when I ask you to walk into all the tall grass with tiny little bugs jumping and crawling all over you. L was such a good sport. I’m sure they thought I was crazy when I said I knew the perfect location on the industrial park with lots of tall grass and weeds. They just trusted me when I assured them it was my absolute favorite kind of setting. I do believe it was worth it (of course, I wasn’t the one sitting in it either).
I never had to ask them to love on one another. They just did. These two are going to be wonderful, loving parents. It was HIS idea to get maternity pictures. HIS! Smart man.
I can’t wait to meet their beautiful baby so soon!
