Monthly Archives: July 2008

july.

Well…here’s another summer month that has come and gone. July was even more crazy than June! I have had so many wonderful shoots this month. Thank you to all my beautiful clients. This is going to be a quick blog with some sneak peeks with lots of pictures :)

First is gorgeous little 3 month old Jack.

And the Ping’s :) Some of my very first clients and some very fun friends :) Check out Abby’s gorgeous eyes!

Oh…Momma needs some Chucks!

Little Miss Logan. The friendliest child I have ever met! I thought I was special when she plopped down in my lap and wanted me to hold her…until she almost got in the car with a lady on the street :)

Everyone knows that I think almost all pregnant women are gorgeous, but Angel has to be one of the cutest, tiniest pregnant people I’ve seen. I was so disappointed when I had some technical difficulties, but that does mean that you may get to see another blog of Angel and her beautiful baby belly! Here’s just a few for now :)

Last, but not least, our beautiful little Talyn. This is one of the prettiest little babies ever!!! And she was such a good girl and slept the whole time for me :) I hope the night wasn’t too sleepless. Here are just a few of my favs from the session.

I absolutely love the detail in the next picture.

Thanks all!

montgomery maternity shoot. lancaster, ky.

I had an amazing maternity session with Twila and Scott on Saturday. We started the day bright and early with some “trespassing” in a field :) If we were a little more daring we could have made it to a barn, but we decided it could just be in the background :) Twila was a trooper all day and let me as creative as I wanted to be. Scott was a great assistant…moving things, coming up with ideas, running a bubble bath, and even arranging bubbles (you’ll see). We compared him to P. Diddy’s “man-servant”. I was a little disappointed he didn’t follow me around with an umbrella all day though. We’ll have to work on that ;)

The next two are tied for my absolute favorites. Definitely two of my favorites ever.

:) Apparently being a model can be hilarious :)

And Twila with the current two babies of the house.

Thank you thank you thank you again :)

And here’s a little sneak peek of my next blog entry. The cute little guy is just 3 months old and already “environmentally friendly”. :)

louisville, ky wedding. mike and nicole.

Here are just a few of my favorites from Nicole and Mike’s wedding. This is such a sweet and fun couple. Nicole is costantly worrying about others. Through out the day, she kept asking if I was okay and if she could get me anything! As they were running through the bubbles and getting ready to make their get away, she turned and thanked me. I just thought that was so sweet. I had so much fun capturing their big day. Both of them have the most fun families. The best time was definitely at the reception. lol. Everyone definitely had some awesome moves. You’ll get to see a little peek at the end :)

This first one was while Nicole was getting ready, just after she got her veil on. To me, this kind of shows how peaceful she was all day. Just so calm and happy. Don’t you just love that pin in her hair!?!

Her beautiful Mom buttoning her dress.

This next pictures is from one of the sweetest moments I’ve ever witnessed. This was the first time they had seen each other that day. Right before she turned around, she said, “I think I’m going to cry.” Then came the tears. Mike wiped away those tears and they laughed and whispered and giggled. They were so cute. I was fighting back the tears the whole time.

They did think I was a little crazy when I got under the veil with them :)

Bling bling.

Father and son having a little talk :)

Now can you really look at the below picture and not smile!?! They were cracking me up all night.

Thank you all for such a great time!!!

june.

What a crazy month June was! It absolutely flew by. Here the summer is almost half over and I haven’t even stepped foot into a pool. I’m just now getting a chance to sit down and do a blog! I know you missed me ;) Well, get comfy because this is a long one :)

I can’t resist posting just few more from the Booker wedding.

Miss Lila. Just around 5 lbs at the time of the shoot. She was just so tiny. I don’t think she loved me being there moving her around, but she loved my bean bag :)

LOVE this nursery!!!

Hendrix is such a good big brother!!! He even put her bassinet together!

The same day I photographed little Miss Lila in Louisville, Bret and I drove to Covington, KY for one of my very best friends wedding! Amy and I were roomies for most of my college days. We got our very first apartment together. We had so much fun that summer! That is also the same summer Bret and I started dating. Amy and our other roomie Kristen were actually the ones who gave Bret my phone number! Words can’t express how happy I am for Amy. She deserves this more than anyone I know. She’s one of the sweetest, funniest, and quirkiest ;) people I know. I was so proud to be one of the ladies chosen to stand beside her on her big day. Everything about that day was perfect and beautiful…well, except for our shoes ;) The reception was at this beautiful place overlooking Cincinnati’s skyline. It was amazing.

Me and my hubby. Oh…like me knew hair cut and highlights? :)

Next is me and one of my best friends/rock/hope healer/marketing manager/sorority sister. She never fails to tell me (and all her other friends) how much faith she has in me. When I am bummed, she reminds me to keep up my faith and hope and all will be okay. Oh and she calls me ladybug and that makes me happy :) I can’t wait to photograph her wedding in October! It will be fabulous!!!

Oh…and my birthday fell into all the madness of June. I am 28! I’ve always been a big fan of birthdays, but for some reason I wasn’t thrilled about it this year. Luckily, I have a wonderful husband and wonderful friends who made the day special :) First, my buddy Jessica bought me yummy cupcakes (see picture below…oh and it’s sitting in my bouquet from Amy’s wedding) and my boss took us all out to lunch! Still, I felt kind of blah about the day. Then I got home and Bret made me oh so happy. He made me sit in the bedroom while he got everything ready. He bought two candles of my favorite scent and had them lit on the dining room table, along with food from my favorite local restaurant (Burger House) on plates (instead of the boxes it comes in). He’s so funny because he does the sweetest things and then always gets very practical gifts. My gift was a desk chair :) I love it! I keep stealing his and now I have my very own. It feels so much better sitting here typing this then hunched over in the old chair. Oh and he paid for me to go to the UK football women’s clinic :) Guess he’s tired of me not knowing what he’s talking about!

Next is the beautiful Nichole and Mike! I can’t wait until their wedding…just a week from Saturday!

Next is the Montgomery family! Look how cute these kiddos are. And they are so happy! Isabella talks like she’s 10 years old. I could just listen to her all day. She’s SO funny! I felt so bad leaving when she said “we didn’t get to play just me and you”. Oh break my heart.

Isaac was not about taking a family picture. He just wanted to be in the wagon! lol. We ended up doing some family pictures with the kiddos in the wagon :)

Did I mention Kevin coaches football with my husband? Of course we had to play some football!

Finally, before I left, Isabella wanted a picture of just Mommy and Daddy. This next one is my favorite from that. Maybe because I know what they were laughing about :) Don’t worry…i won’t tell ;)  I do just love how she’s leaning into him laughing and he’s holding her hand. I thought it was too sweet.

Are you tired yet? lol. Okay..next is the Costich family. This little sweetie is so cute. She was just happy the whole time…well until the end, but I’ll explain that in a second.

Tea party time!

Okay…so, here’s where the happiness ended. Caroline was twirling around and around showing me her dress. She was having so much fun. She fell a couple times and just jumped back up laughing. Well, you can kind of see what happens in this next group of pictures. See what she keeps getting closer to as she spins. The middle picture is just as she was falling. Of course the last picture is immediately after. I felt so bad for her. It swelled up and turned blue within a minute. Caroline…big kisses to your boo boo. I hope it’s all better now :(

Okay…the last two pictures. Some of our best friends Bryan and Kelly came to visit last weekend along with their beautiful twin daughters Emily and Olivia. We decided to do a 5 minute “mini-model shoot” (something I made up to make it sound semi cool to the girls). Well, Emily wasn’t having it. Olivia decided to play along and the next two images are my favorite. I think this girl may have a future modeling career. These images were inspired by the great St. Louis photographer Laura Siebert.

For those of you still waiting on your gallery, hold tight I will have them finished very soon :)

Thanks everyone for your support and sitting through this oh so long blog :) Now get up and walk around…I promise the numbness will leave your bottom soon :)

XOXO
