I was so excited when Natalie contacted me about maternity and newborn pictures. Natalie is one of the cutest people I know. I had a feeling that pictures with her would be some of my best yet. Well, I think you’ll be able to tell by the number of pictures I’m posting today. I had SO many favorites from her session. She and Dave were so much fun. I can’t wait until Payton gets here! And I just saw pictures of the nursery….my goodness…pink and brown polka dots! Is it my dream nursery or what? Well, I got word that Payton should be here this week! I’m telling ya…I think that drive to Dayton is going to be well worth it! Thank you Natalie and Dave for driving all the way to Lexington for me! I feel so special

The next is one of my absolute favs!!!!

I know Christy and Jeff were ready to get rid of me. I spent 3 hours there hanging out I just couldn’t stop taking pictures of her! She was so sweet and slept *almost* the entire time. It was even worse because she would look so cute in a pose I wouldn’t want to move her. So I have like 50 of just one pose!

You may recognize this beautiful Momma to be from a few posts ago. Diana, her hubby, and the puppy were so much fun to work with. I knew from the moment I stepped foot into their home that we were going to have lots of fun. Their house is gorgeous. So many fun and beautiful things to work with! Not to mention them being beautiful themselves. I can’t wait for Parker to get here. From what I’m hearing it may be a little sooner than later!

Okay…look at the eyes in this family. Can you imagine how gorgeous Parker’s going to be!?!

Funny story here…as many of my clients have found, I will often say cheesy things like “love on each other…whisper sweet nothings”. If nothing else, it gets good laughs. So, the sweet nothings discussed here were “where are we going to eat tonight?” I was cracking up!

I love their floors! I can’t wait to do some pictures of Parker here! And doesn’t she have the perfect little belly?

All the last minute Christmas orders should be either hand delivered or mailed out no later than Thursday. I’m getting everything in and they are all so beautiful!

Those of you waiting on galleries: if I told you they would be finished this week, I will let you know as soon as they are. Rest of you, it may be after the holidays before they are completely finished. I have had some amazing sessions lately! I know you’re dying to see. Maybe I can get some sneak peeks out

And again for the heck of it….one from a recent session. Isn’t she beautiful!?!

A while back my best friend told me about a question she asked her daughter, Bailey. I thought the answer was so sweet and simple. She asked Bailey what she felt love was. Bailey’s answer was simply “a kiss”. And the cutest part is that she said it like “duh Mom. Don’t you know?”

So, with inspiration from Andrea, Bailey, and my favorite email forward, I proceeded to ask my little sister the same thing. What is love? Her answer:

“You know. Like Mom and ’shild’. Mom and Dad. You know, when everyone’s together.”

I think while we are running around like crazy, we need to take a minute to remember that the holidays aren’t about the material gifts, but about the gift that each of us already give one another. As cheesy as it may be, it’s the gift of love.

Ask your kiddo what they think love is. It may surprise you what they say and it may help keep your mind on the true meaning.
