Another mini that I loved. Another mini that makes it impossible to narrow down the images! Yikes! Did I say 10 images?

I love that this business has been built mostly on word of mouth. I love this because I love my clients…which means I will probably love their friends and family. That’s the case with the M family. I knew instantly that I would love them. That grew even more when I read about how much they love each other and who they are as a family and that Dad is the entertainer. So, you can imagine how happy I was when I met them. One of the biggest reasons I love what I do is that I get to watch families interact and be themselves. I loved watching Miss S priss and spin in her beautiful dress and beautify Daddy with her very own hat. I loved watching her love on Momma and talk about how she was going to be a good big sister. I loved watching her race Daddy and him showing that he is truly the entertainer in the family. I just loved it all. Every bit of it. All of this in a mini session…

Baby cousin Chris is going to be a daddy. I’ve hear so many stories from Bret of his and baby cousin Chris’s days growing up. How Grandpa Stef would give them a cucumber and tomato and salt shaker for lunch, how Chris was disciplined for leaving his bike outside, and many other childhood stories. It’s hard to believe that now he’s going to have children of his own who will then have stories of their own. Katie and Ms. L fit into the family so well. Seems like they’ve always been there. Not to mention that they’re both beautiful. Chris is a lucky man and I think he knows it!

Aren’t they a beautiful family!?! Ms. L has the best jokes. I wish I could remember them because they are really hilarious

And a beautiful couple…

Oh how I love downtown Lexington. Of course I love all of central KY, especially our little town, but I love what Lexington has to offer. I normally meet clients around Victorian Square, but now I’ve discovered a new favorite meeting place, Sunrise Bakery. I don’t know what it is, but this cozy little bakery just feels like…home. Not to mention that they have the most amazing cinnamon rolls that I’ve tasted in my entire life.  I just love this whole area. Lots of interesting little buildings, shops, and walls. So, now my favorite thing to do for downtown shoots is meet at Sunrise Bakery, walk around the area, then end with me buying a very yummy cinnamon roll.

Now, what you’ve been waiting for.

Fate brought them together when, after they both graduated from UK, T moved in right next door to her future one and only. Been together ever since, he a HUGE UK basketball fan and she the self proclaimed quiter one who loves to read and decorate. It was only fitting that when I asked D to “whisper sweet nothings” in T’s ear, he talked about the UK game!!! That may be my favorite topic yet.

Needless to say, I absolutely can’t wait for baby girl to get here. I am sure she will be just as beautiful as her parents!

How did I miss the giant billboard of Cinderella and Prince Charming? One of those happy accidents

I’ve been meaning to blog this forever! With the first Monthly Mini Session date fastly approaching (March 20th!), now may be a good time to do that! There are only 2 spots remaining for the March minis!

That’s right! Our very popular mini sessions that are normally offered twice a year, are now being offered once a month! Now you’ll have the option of a Signature Session or a Monthly Mini Session. These Mini Sessions will be held in various locations in Central KY (one set location per session) on set dates.

The very first date being March 20th and the popular Boyd’s Orchard minis on April 24th.
Of course, Signature Sessions will remain the ultimate custom photography experience. It’s hard to believe, but spring sessions are already booking up!  If you have a date in mind for a session, it is a good idea to book as soon as possible to insure your spot is held, both for Signature Sessions and Mini Sessions.

First I have to apologize to those who subscribe to my blog and receive it through email. Don’t you love meeting those people who can really do anything they set their mind to? I honestly don’t think I’ve met anyone as talented as D. I didn’t realize just how talented until I made it to their home. Let’s see…both D and A are engineers; D decorates cakes and is VERY VERY good at it; she has quite the photographic eye; she had a large role in designing their amazing kitchen from scratch; and not to mention the beautiful interior design in their home. I’m sure there’s many many more that I didn’t learn of that day, but I have to say, I was very impressed. Especially when I left with four yummy cupcakes and told that I should let her know when I need a chocolate fix (Can I put you on speed dial?)

I’m sure little Mr. A is going to be so talented like his momma and dad. He will be here so soon and everyone can finally find out what his name will be. I love that D and A have kept his name a secret. Friends and family know it will start with an A, but that’s it. I feel so privileged that I know! I may be able to be bribed…

Thank you D and A for having me in your home and being so open to my ideas…even the ones that involved you going out into the freezing snow!

P.S. So, I have been made fun of by a nameless friend…you know who you are ….for my “Peace, love and xoxo”. Although I will fight and argue until I can’t anymore, that I’m not doing this because of that, after some consideration, I am dropping the xoxo.
