All in a Mini | Priscilla Baierlein Photography {Lexington, Ky Maternity Photographer}

Another mini that I loved. Another mini that makes it impossible to narrow down the images! Yikes! Did I say 10 images?

I love that this business has been built mostly on word of mouth. I love this because I love my clients…which means I will probably love their friends and family. That’s the case with the M family. I knew instantly that I would love them. That grew even more when I read about how much they love each other and who they are as a family and that Dad is the entertainer. So, you can imagine how happy I was when I met them. One of the biggest reasons I love what I do is that I get to watch families interact and be themselves. I loved watching Miss S priss and spin in her beautiful dress and beautify Daddy with her very own hat. I loved watching her love on Momma and talk about how she was going to be a good big sister. I loved watching her race Daddy and him showing that he is truly the entertainer in the family. I just loved it all. Every bit of it. All of this in a mini session…

Peace and much love,

Cilla

Stunning | Priscilla Baierlein Photography {Lexington, KY Family Photography}

Third times a charm. After having mini sessions rescheduled twice due to rain, we knew we had to get it this time. I have to admit, I was a little nervous when I saw the dark clouds creeping in on us. Luckily, we got by with just a few sprinkles, while the rest of Lexington was getting a good soaking. This was definitely worth the way. What a stunning family and one happy little boy. I have to say that one of my favorite things about him is his love of leaves. OH and his crawl! It was a bear crawl. I’m convinced he learned that from going to football practices with his Daddy.

Now…how STUNNING are they!?!

Peace and much love,

Cilla

Hopscotch | Priscilla Baierlein Photography {Lexington, KY Commercial Photographer}

I love having a best friend with two of the cutest kids. I need a model really quickly…she has two. As some of you may know, I have a display at the local children’s boutique, Hopscotch. They have recently relocated, which provided the opportunity to add more and move things around! I immediately wanted new pictures of kiddos wearing their clothes. In comes B to the rescue! Although, I’m not sure she was thrilled about being a model once we got in the mist of all the games and rides, she was pumped about it while we were getting ready! Who wouldn’t be with this adorable outfit! Hint, hint…all their summer clothes are 50% off! You will be reading much more about Hopscotch soon…very soon!  But for now, take a look at our fun fun night at the fair!

If only you knew how difficult it was to get this shot. I invisioned a casual shot of her holding the cotton candy down by her side with the cute boots and skirt. Let’s just say B was REALLY into the modeling. Imagine Vanna White, only showing off cotton candy instead of letters and new cars. I think it ended up quite perfect when I caught her in between poses!

Oh…and J couldn’t have been any cuter! Seriously! I heard that the other superheroes shirt I conveniently left at their house, was worn for a couple days. “J-ey wear dis shirt”…then to bed…then the next day “J-ey wear dis shirt again”. It melted my heart when Andrea told me. Pretty sure it drove her crazy, but I loved that something I gave him made him so happy :)

Besides very colorful pictures of the kiddos wearing cute clothes, I also invisioned very grainy black and white pictures…not for the store, but for us! These are some of my favs.

I couldn’t go to a fair, at night, with out getting pictures of the rides with all their colors and lines :) The last is my absolute favorite!

Thank you Andrea for always being there when I need you…with models and with support and love.

Peace and much much love,

Cilla

Fair, Food, & Awesome People | Priscilla Baierlein Photography {Lexington, KY Family Photographer}

The smell of lots and lots of grease corn dogs, funnel cake, cotton candy…and all the other good food that I don’t pay any attention to because I’m too busy eating corn dogs and funnel cake. There’s such a nostalgic feeling I get from being at a fair or even just a small festival. It always reminds me of the Septemberfest that happens every year in Louisa. We would spend the weekend watching the long parade (with the very loud fire truck horns), walking around downtown enjoying all the different food vendors, live music, games, and the Hillbilly Choo-Choo. Maybe I can blame this for my deep love for festival food. I have to admit, I do enjoy small, fall festivals much more than the large ones, but any will do!  For the longest time I’ve been just dying to shoot a session at a fair or carnival. I searched online for dates and found the Lexington Lions Club Bluegrass Fair. Imagine my excitement when one of my favorite families agreed to switch the date of their session just so we could go to the fair and have some fun! They even agreed to eat lots of fair snacks…with much twisting of the arm of course…okay, maybe not too much twisting.

Now you may think this next photo is my favorite. I do smile every time I see it. Smile from “ear to ear”. I think it may be in a very close second. Oh you just wait…you’ll see.

One of my favorite things about the fair are all the different people. All the stories just walking around. All the interesting faces. MA…please forgive me for the next photo. It is my absolute favorite. I crack up everytime. Now…you must get THIS blown up to hang over the mantel :)

Boys Will Be Boys | Priscilla Baierlein Photography {Lexington, KY Family Photographer}

That title pretty much sums it up! I got to meet Little Mr. H last year and we became fast friends. However, I’m pretty sure that didn’t carry over this year. I was this crazy lady who has him out in the heat, away from his home, and he wasn’t really sure what I was doing taking pictures of him. Oh…did I mention the fact that we were in a place to explore…with his cousins? I was such a party pooper. Once he realized he could explore, play, and pick up worms with his cousins WHILE I was still taking pictures…he was a happy boy. So they did…they explored and looked for the bunny that kept popping it’s head out, played with a worm, even learned a little about Henry Clay!

Peace and much love,

Cilla
