Priscilla Baierlein Photography bio picture

Hi there!

Welcome to my blog! My style can best be described as "perfectly imperfect"! Confusing? lol. Well, the way I see it is that life is perfect just the way it is...with all its imperfections. I love capturing life as is. Spur of the moment...and maybe a little all over the place. I've always loved all the little things that make up life: The peeling skin and wrinkles on newborn toes, the way a young couple looks at each other, the way fall leaves tumble to the ground in almost a tornado-like motion, the joy in a child's eyes the first time they see anything. What does this mean? It means that I am going to capture you, your child, your family, your love, your life just how it is in that moment in time. I'm going to capture all those little things that make up you and your family.

Besides being a photographer, I am a wife, a sister, a daughter, a lover and not a fighter, an idealist, a romantic, a child advocate, a peace keeper, and a goofball. I have the best friends and family ever. They have supported and gently pushed me along the path of who I am today. I love life; I love photography; and I love that you've come by to visit! Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Charley l Priscilla Baierlein Photography {Lexington, KY Newborn Photographer}

You’ll recognize little miss Charley from a couple posts ago. She had the big pink flower on her head and the pretty little smile :)

I know Christy and Jeff were ready to get rid of me. I spent 3 hours there hanging out :) I just couldn’t stop taking pictures of her! She was so sweet and slept *almost* the entire time. It was even worse because she would look so cute in a pose I wouldn’t want to move her. So I have like 50 of just one pose!

I love this first picture. I love all the designs her hair made :)

What is love? l Priscilla Baierlein Photography {Kentucky Lifestyle Photographer}

Hope everyone is having a fabulous holiday season! I know things are hectic right now for each of you. We get so caught up in the commercialism of it all that it’s easy to forget what the holidays and what life in general is all about. Sometimes it takes the little ones to remind us.

A while back my best friend told me about a question she asked her daughter, Bailey. I thought the answer was so sweet and simple. She asked Bailey what she felt love was. Bailey’s answer was simply “a kiss”. And the cutest part is that she said it like “duh Mom. Don’t you know?”

So, with inspiration from Andrea, Bailey, and my favorite email forward, I proceeded to ask my little sister the same thing. What is love? Her answer:

“You know. Like Mom and ’shild’. Mom and Dad. You know, when everyone’s together.”

I think while we are running around like crazy, we need to take a minute to remember that the holidays aren’t about the material gifts, but about the gift that each of us already give one another. As cheesy as it may be, it’s the gift of love.

Ask your kiddo what they think love is. It may surprise you what they say and it may help keep your mind on the true meaning.

And just for the heck of it, here’s a shot from one of my most recent sessions. charley

Cabbage Patch Kiddo l Priscilla Baierlein Photography {Kentucky Child and Family Photography}

 Doesn’t she just look like the cutest little cabbage patch doll!? Her momma (Heather) says that’s what EVERYONE says :) I’m sure she was already tired of hearing about it before I told her 10 times!

Well, some of you may remember this cutie from the beginning of this year. I can’t believe time has gone by so fast! Well, she is just as cute and sweet as she was at 11 days old! Thanks Heather and Reese for meeting me out in the cold!

Okay…seriously…aren’t these the greatest boots ever!
