You know when you have the perfect combination…happy loving family, some gorgeous KY family property, and a gorgeous sunset? You know when you love a session so much that you can’t narrow down their sneak peek and you just go ahead and show half of their gallery? Yeah…me too.
It’s funny how we are as parents. So many parents (and I do this when I’m in front of the camera too) feel like we must not be getting anything because we’re just running around, they feel like the kiddos are going crazy…there are always so many worries. But what you don’t see is the beauty in the moment and that’s my job. I find that beauty that can get fogged because of the stress of being a parent. A parent can be busy playing, living every day life, and miss so many little things that make their family perfect and beautiful. I say all of this to let you know it’s not just you. Even these parents had a few of those worries and look how these turned out.
We had an absolute blast exploring their family property. I love KY for so many reasons, one being the sunsetting over the rolling hills. The golden light as it hits the grass is a close second. My rule when a family picks their farm for a session is that you just can’t cut the grass. I love the texture it adds to a photo and the contrast and the way the sun hits it and the gold highlights from a sunset…well, it’s just simply one of my favorite things.
This session embodied everything I love about photography. There’s truly something I love about every session I’ve ever had, but a few get the title of one of my most favorite. When I tell you it’s yours, listen, because I don’t say that to everyone. This…this was most definitely one of my favorites.
