Baby Blues | Priscilla Baierlein Photography {KY Child & Family Photographer}

Just a quick blog to show you this beautiful family, the McGuffys! So so many shots that I absolutely loved. Wait until you see their big blue eyes! And I LOVE that they brought their favorite toys. I’m starting to encourage families to bring something the children love. It helps them feel so much more comfortable, it customizes the session even more, and well, is just cute :)

mcguffy1

Gosh they were so cute and so much fun.

Look at those lashes!

Somebody loves his little sister…

And someone loves her big brother…

The ones in this field were some of my favorites!

Big family hug!

Someone didn’t want to join in on ring around the rosies…and I’m so glad she didn’t. She was so independent and I really hope I captured it. I loved when she would say “I do it myself.” Melt. My. Heart.

And this was after I “put the camera away”. We were literally walking to our cars to leave and it was one of my favorites from the day.

Seniors that Rock! | Priscilla Baierlein Photography {Richmond KY Senior Photographer}

Another one of my Seniors that Rock! Hayden and his family have been with me pretty much from the beginning and have remained one of my favorite families. When I was thinking of the Seniors that Rock and realized that Hayden would be a Senior next year, I immediately knew he had to be one. I was so happy when they agreed. He is just such a great kiddo  young man. When we were talking about his activities, I knew I wanted to photograph him and his guitar immediately! We went out to their farm where I first photographed their family (fyi…this is possibly one of the locations for my fall mini sessions). Oh…and just a little plug for them…they are currently trying to sell the farm. It’s beautiful, huge, and has a great barn! I would so buy it if I could!

Here’s just a hint of what the next session will be like. At our next mini session (we’re doing two sessions), we will be focusing a lot more on his skate boarding skills :)

Horses, goats, dogs, cats, bees…oh my! | Priscilla Baierlein Photography {Lancaster KY Enagement Photographer}

Wow! I can’t believe I’m just now getting a chance to blog this session. The very first time I saw pictures of Emily and Trey, I knew I had to photograph them at some point. When Emily sent me a message about their wedding and I found out her parents had a farm, I jumped on the opportunity to have them be my models :) They are absolutely one of the most gorgeous couples ever…and fun…and Trey brought me wine…so that doesn’t hurt anything :) We had a great time exploring her parents farm. We climbed inside the loft of the barn, we battled flies, ran from horses and goats and bees, and dodged…well, what normal animals leave…and it was all well worth it. It’s exactly what I wanted. At first we thought the horses wouldn’t want anything to do with us and then they wouldn’t leave us alone :) lol. But I loved it :)

I have to share “their story”. I have forms for all of my clients to fill out that asks for them to tell me about themselves. I always love reading these answers. You don’t know how many times I’ve literally been brought to tears reading how much a Mother loves her children, or how a couple met. I know Emily didn’t think it was a great answer, but I thought it was perfect. She said that they can’t for the life of them remember where they met, but they know that they have been together ever since. Perfect.

I’ll start with my absolute favorite image. We waited to start close to when the sun was setting. I just love the light from sunset. It really made everything exactly how I had imagined it! And don’t you love that yellow dress!?! Emily was a trooper walking around all over the farm for me in her heels.

Thanks to Trey for not allowing us to fall out of the top of the barn. Now THAT would’ve been a story.

Thanks Emily and Trey! You rock!

Laura Maternity Session | Priscilla Baierlein Photography {KY Maternity Photographer}

When Laura first contacted me she said she didn’t even want to have maternity pictures taken until she saw mine! What a compliment! I’m so glad she did decide to! Look how beautiful she is. We had such a great time. We hit it off right from the beginning. I can’t wait to meet Dane! I know he will be here so soon. I literally get choked up when I talk about watching all of these beautiful babies grow up. It’s probably the best part of my job (I have plans to do a big blog post on these feelings). We are starting it off right with Dane. We already know when we are doing his pictures for the next 6 months!

Here are a few of my favs from the session.

Spring Mini Sessions at Boyd’s Orchard | Priscilla Baierlein Photography {KY Child & Family Photographer}

When I imagined the spring mini sessions at Boyd’s Orchard I was so nervous we would have nasty weather or the blooms wouldn’t be out, but with the help of the owners at Boyd’s Orchard, we picked a date that we thought would be perfect. Then we just had to leave it to mother nature. Wow…did she pull through for us. It was absolutely perfect. It was a beautiful day and all the apple trees were in full bloom. That, along with these beautiful kiddos, made the day exactly how I had imagined. If you haven’t been to Boyd’s Orchard, you have to go. It is so much fun for families. There’s a playground with huge slides for the kids and you can even go out and pick your own strawberries, apples, pumpkins, peaches and more. In the fall they have a different “festival” each weekend, as well as bon fires and hay rides! I can’t wait for us to have our own kids to share this with. Oh and did I mention how nice the owners are? I love them!

Okay…here are some of my favorites from the day.

Can you look at this picture without smiling? They drove all the way from Dayton, OH and I’m so glad they did.

Uuummm…yeah…I just want to squeeze those cheeks. We already have his 6 month pictures scheduled and we have big plans for capturing all those rolls!

Diana and Clayton are wonderful. Can you believe she just had a baby a few short months ago?

Here’s another one of my little Parker’s :) Do you know how excited I was when they pulled out this hat? And look at those eyes!!!

And the scrunchy nose!

The last couple mini sessions we did together into one big session. They drove all the way from Louisa! I went to school with Bianca and Ashley (and they brought Leigh Anne along to play :) ) and according to MJ, this meant we were as old as dinosaurs! I loved seeing them and I hope this means I will get to see them much more as the years go by! We had such a great time. The kiddos were so much fun. We seriously just played the entire time. I hope they had as much fun as I did!

If you look in her eyes you can see me :)

bloomfieldmini5

bloomfieldmini2

I love this. We were trying to get a natural picture. So, Ashley was trying to talk to him and get him to ignore me. I think it worked :)

bloomfieldmini4

bloomfieldmini1

You know I was excited when I saw their red hair! They were so good. I know they were anxious to see some of the pictures and I hope they love them! The gallery is almost finished for you to see all of them!

biancamini2

She was such a little model! I hope she grows up loving this red hair as much as I do!

biancamini4

So, he got out of the car saying I was NOT going to take any pictures of him, but he didn’t seem to mind so much when I let him run around the orchard and then gave him a lollipop in the end :)

A fabulous end to a beautiful day!
